Alliance’s founder John Dawson had a vision to establish a profitable, cash positive business through the acquisition of manufacturing, sales and distribution rights to branded pharmaceutical products from major blue chip R&D pharmaceuticals. Acquisition candidates were chosen on clear demonstrable medical need, a stable history and low risk for the future. Many of these products have become non core to their originator's portfolio. Intense merger and acquisition activity often leaves fragmented portfolios which the majors rationalise. Alliance became ideally placed to acquire these products and manage their lifecycle into the future.
