Alliance’s founder John Dawson had a vision to establish a profitable, cash positive business through the acquisition of manufacturing, sales and distribution rights to branded pharmaceutical products from major blue chip R&D pharmaceuticals. Acquisition candidates were chosen on clear demonstrable medical need, a stable history and low risk for the future. Many of these products have been become non core to their originators portfolio. Intense merger and acquisition activity often leaves fragmented portfolios which the majors rationalise. Alliance became ideally placed to acquire these products and manage their lifecycle into the future. This stable and profitable base has enabled Alliance to progress to the development and eventual marketing of new products; opportunities with greater sales and margin potential ideally by partnership with, or by acquisition from smaller biotechnology and R&D companies.
