Alliance Pharma plc (AIM: APH), the speciality pharmaceutical company, was informed on 27 October 2008 that Michael Gatenby, the Company's Chairman, purchased 220,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company on 27 October 2008 at a price of 4.0p per share. Mr Gatenby's resultant shareholding is 350,000 ordinary shares, equivalent to 0.22 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
